To Whom It May Concern:

Volunteers for Inter-American Development Assistance (VIDA) is a non-profit
medical relief and development assistance organization based in Emeryville,
CA. Since our foundation in 1991, we have provided nearly $40 million in
medical aid to 11 countries in Latin America.

Currently, we are attempting to acquire prosthetic limbs for victims of land
mines in Guatemala and Nicaragua. I understand that many prosthetic
patients often, through medicare or other insurance, purchase new limbs as
their old ones don't fit properly or become old. I am researching the
possibilities of collecting these prosthetics for land mine victims who
often can't afford to purchase their own.

Please provide me with any information or leads you may have to help VIDA
acquire prosthetic limbs that would otherwise be disposed of.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from
you soon.

Sincerely,
